Secret

I'm really happy with the way it turned out - though I just finished it so that will probably change by tomorrow, lol. I'm glad I was able to make some work about this movie, it's my favorite movie. I watched it in theaters on my twelfth birthday, but I didn't get to finish it because my stepdad and stepbrother thought it was boring so they made me walk out.

Also, I'm on Twitter now yay

I have not posted since February, wow.
Well, last time I posted some shirt designs that were up for voting, and The Party was picked up and is now almost sold out at Threadless(!). I've also gone through a little rebranding so I'll be redesigning this blog soon.

I will be attending ICON7, the Illustration Conference in Rhode Island this Summer. Right now, I'm focusing on redesigning business cards, stickers, and a portfolio book. The conference is in 3 weeks so I need to get things done fast.

Here's an art trade I just finished with my friend Betty Huang. She gets a nice print of this and I get a sweet Artichoke cup :3

Hey Bros

Hey guys! So I haven't uploaded in a while, but I've been working on lots of stuff.

This is a commission I did for school. I designed the shirt for the Student Governments.

This one I made for the Threadless Temporary Tattoo challenge. I wanna make more like these; Raccoons, dogs, sloths . . . 

I'll re-purpose this as a t shirt graphic later. Stickers too!

I have a bunch of other projects that aren't quite finished, so I'll post those later.

I wanted to make my Tumblr into my personal website, but I think it's better if I make a Cargo. Maybe I'll ask for a year's fee for Christmas.

ALSO, I'M A FREAKING SEMIFINALIST IN THE ADOBE DESIGN ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS. If I make it to the finals they'll fly me to China for $FREE$

WhiteOut

This is for Society 6's first limited edition zine: Whiteout

I made the piece based on their definition of White out:

"Whiteout is a condition of diffuse light in which visibility and contrast are severely reduced and there are no reference points at all, leaving the individual with a distorted orientation."

   It's essentially a speed-painting. I knew that I wanted to only make the mouth visible, so I played around a bit until I came up with this. I needed something to fill in that black space so I just put a glowing white orb in the middle, which kinda looked like the moon, with the borders between the black mass and the face being the waves.
